70% Of Canadians Will Quit Their Jobs In The Next 12 Months

Employee engagement is getting worse and not better.

We believe that there is a direct correlation between the very rapid increase in the cost of living, higher taxes (local, state, federal and sales & excise taxes), and double digit increases in shelter costs.

None of the following is a surprise to us and we have been asked to help organizations of all sizes rethink their Flexible Policies to increase employee engagement & retention :

  1. A new report from recruitment firm Hays found that 71 per cent of Canadians are looking to quit their jobs within the next 12 months — the highest number the organization has ever seen. In 2022, 61 per cent of respondents said they wanted to leave their positions.
  2. The firm warns that as the economy recovers, this trend will only get worse and managers should brace themselves for more resignations.
