47% Of Canadians Living Paycheck To Paycheck In September Of 2023 We Think It Is Considerably Worse Now

According to one of the most respected polling companies in the country, 47% of Canadians were living paycheck to paycheck in September of 2023.

We think that things have got substantially worse not better since then for the following reasons :

  1. Payroll taxes paid by the employee have increased effective January 1st
  2. Rents continue to go up double digits
  3. Food price inflation has remained very high
  4. Gas prices have not come down and have gone up since September of 2023
  5. Prices have not decreased in any month since September (the rate of growth has decreased but it is going up every month)
