Employers Are Now Hiring New Employees On Average 270% Further From The Office vs. Pre-Pandemic
What is more shocking is when you factor in the area of the circle of hiring...
Area of a circle is pie*radius^2
So if the radius is 2.7 and pie is 3.14 the recruitment area has grown to by a factor of 22 times the previous recruitment area.
It means that companies are specifically and intentionally looking to hire much further from the office... Let's further assume that traffic is no better than before the pandemic... It means that the vast majority of employers are intentionally looking to hire new employees further from the office.
Work From Home is therefore a practical reality as no new employee is going to put themselves through the cost and the aggravation associated with a much longer and arduous and costly commute.
